Why Can't We Do It?

Why Can't We Do It?

A Poem by Beatles9322

"
The more I learn about you,
the more I realize that you
are not a holy, God-fearing man.

Yet I want you even more.
Why is that? Shouldn't a
good Christian girl want
a good Christian boy?

You are a forbidden temptation.
You are a revolutionary.
You are a dirty, messy, reckless man.
I've just got to have you.

Make sweet and passionate love to me.
Let's forget about the consequences.
Who cares about them anyway?
Let's just do it.

Ooo, I love this too! I like the why you write poetry, I find it difficult to write poetry, so it is a pleasure to read someone else's poems which are utterly awesome. Thank you for sharing!

Whoo love it! Jane's lust and instincts are overwhelmed and you captured that well!

My favourite Mr Rochester is definitely Toby Stephens :)

I understand this poem. We want to tried to tame a wild beast. Can't be done. Temptation of a forbidden desire make us jump into the fire. No weakness in the outstanding poetry.
