Cosmic Soul

Cosmic Soul

A Poem by Gabrielle Linch

Cosmic soul as halcyon as mother nature,

finds content solitude in the enigma of the mind.

Where he, an enabler, becomes one with the creator

and the sinuous of mankind.

His perspective of the world is more ethereal,

than that of a porcelain doll.

The fathom of useless material,

is nothing but as small.

The existence of life is a precious lagniappe,

filled with experiences and lessons.

To be in touch with the temporal side is essentially kidnap,

and leaves the great unknown as questions.

As I make my way through your work, this stands as another bright spot. Please insist that this gets published somewhere, it is worthy of publication. I know it is silly to expect you to know me just from my reviews, but I am such a complete b***h about poetry on here because, frankly there's a lot of hacks (I might be among the top 10 hacks myself). This is quality of language, stretching the typical readers' verbal frontier, and a masterful use of aesthetic arrangement all in one sweet package. Well done Gabs.

You ask questions of existence in this clever piece of writing. Lagniappe was a new one on me but so appropriate!
