The Biggest Booger

The Biggest Booger

A Poem by George David Hope
"

Something I came up with while putting black bags in a skip

"
                                                                   THE BIGGEST BOOGER
I went and found a booger
The biggest I'd ever seen
Full of tiny nasal hairs
And shades of red and green
Some parts were rather squishy
While other parts crisp and dry
But then I went and dropped it
And I began to cry
"Where oh where is my booger
It really was a winner
I was hoping I could have saved it
And ate it for my dinner"

This is the kind of poem that kids would love! You go completely over the olfactory, when it comes to miniscule observations (red & green? squishy? crisp & dry?) Most of us are tossing that bugger down the hatch before someone sees us do it . . . but not you . . . you're sitting there with a magnifying glass, trying to ascertain the true essence of this prize booger! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
