Just say

Just say

A Poem by Gaurav
"

I am eager to listen to You, if I am worthy of You

"
Just say that it was a world
a world full of silent sacrifices,
just say that I lived
when it was needed most
and slept when nothing happened,
just say that it mattered
however negligible
but that it mattered in its own universe...

Just say for your own liberation
and for prosperity that could be,
your words can evoke miseries
or would fall in an infinite intelligence...

I come to your sky often
carrying my strange faith
to ask you for rain and words,
so either give us a sea
or just say...

A mixture of faith and introspection along with "reality" and wandering realms in this I feel...nicely layered Gaurav, we create our own reality and standards perhaps...love this :)

thanks a lot Ruth
It feels like a call to God, pleading and begging for an answer to salvation. Sometimes He answers in a way that we cannot understand or comprehend. Thank you for sharing this

thank you Mr. Malarkey :)
We are all brothers and sisters of the universe. If only we would concentrate on what unites us rather than what divides us, a much happier path we would tread. This is how I interpreted your lines. Thank you.

that's true Chris...a world without racism or illness
Phenomenal work again I mean it's like a true poem that comes true every day because in the world today people are going through shootings and protests and much more violence and I feel like if a lot of people who cared about the world today joined together to make the world better then it could definitely happen just gotta keep it up hun

yes that was the intention behind this poem to somehow imagine that i lived as per universe's desire.. read more
This sounds like a conversation with God. At first it feels like the narrator is looking to make a connection, looking to find meaning in a hard-to-understand world. Like many people talking to God, the "just say" refrain reminds me of how we want God to give us answers, to tell us how to live & how not to hurt so much. But in the end, He probably won't tell us what to do becuz He has given us free will. What we choose will bring lessons & He will help us thru the lessons. I totally get the idea this person is trying to get God to take all the responsibility for saying how things should go, but I think this narrator already knows what he needs to think or do (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
