Imminent Slumber

Imminent Slumber

A Poem by Geel

Without…a recognizable face
A soft voice exclaims…

I’ve searched throughout… for proof…of your existences
I prayed for our meeting...many…moons
I've channeled all of my being…towards what I am feeling…for you
Now I'm singing...

You are...
The one that set my sun…
The one that takes my breath away...
The one whose kiss sends me beyond the horizon...
The one heart …I’m desire’n

Still…in my culture… I can’t be seen

I mean

You are known as “TABOO”

(Bug-ga-boo)

With skin the color of blackness…
Coarse dark hair...

And yet

Above…all
You house …a spirit …that dares to be free
Unshackled… by your…femininity & beauty
Such a mystery…
That in itself…carries me

Without delay
Hide me away in the warm comfort…of your bosom

Melt the barriers…
Evaporate the reality of tradition …

Expose my emotions…
As I embrace with pleasure…

I fell in LOVE with what many call the unfamiliar…

What shall I do?
Without taking a risk …
I might loose?
