Child of Light

Child of Light

A Poem by George Coombs
"

Coming from quiet time, somthing to think about

"

Child of Light

sitting quiet in

my room

space for

the mind

to be

itself

vast beyond

all horizons...

rain trickles slowly

down the window

in the

quiet space

my clock

pulsates,

slow

soft

footsteps

freely

existing

in time..

in a beginning

was space

there was no

form

life was

in spirit

nature

welcomed man

and woman

dark outside

dark in

human life

yet,

the mind can

rise on dream

angel wings

to the deeper

better world

closer

than breathing

hope gives

listening for dream angels

to show

beyond dream

tremulous

in light

waits

eternal now

2.

child of

light sleep

we will

find you

down

rivers of

wisdom

where you

rest in peace

within souls

you blossom flower

of eternity

growing

in all truth

crying tears of joy

when the lost find you
