I would love to tell you

This poem is about someone who has taken my breath away every day of my life

I would love to tell you

how my eyes

saw you

from across the room,

nothing has ever grabbed my attention

quite like you.

And you see the thing is,

I'm not like every other guy

I didn’t look at your butt

like every other guy would

instead I looked at

how the crook in your smile

was the cutest thing

I had ever seen

and how your eyes

were so big and brown

and how much I wanted

those big brown eyes

to be looking back at me.

I never thought about lust

but the thought of love

made cupid want what I had for you.

I would love to tell you

The first time I saw you it was as if

that there was nothing

but the buzzing of butterflies

that roamed my stomach

like the way you roamed my mind

and let me tell you

those butterflies

have never stopped flying.

And you see the thing is,

I would love to tell you

how I feel

and how every picture i’ve ever taken with you

are my favorite pictures.

I would love to tell you,

that you looked beautiful

in that pink dress you wore

I would love to tell you

how beautiful you look

every time I see you.

I would love to tell you
