Desecration

Inspired by a few good poems on here, and by the 3rd Chapter of my Novel Inner Shadows with the same name.

How can what meant so much to us mean to little to them?

Or is that not the case?

Then, gold, jewels

You had your own rules

Didn't suffer fools

You were the best

When they laid you to rest

Your tomb was blessed. 

No fury like you scorned

Invaders were warned

... We mourned 

Now, they disgrace

Invade sacred space 

Uncover your face

Sacrilegious fools 

Breaking our rules

Stealing your jewels

I will make them pay

Turn their light to grey 

They'll be my prey

My incarceration 

Their laceration

Your desecration.

This is brilliant, it's like a ritual priestesses cry for vengeance. I like the power behind the words.. almost like "How dare you enter the tomb!"
