Horror

Floorboards creek and mice run, it started off just as fun. A door slams, and someone screams, its this sorta stuff that gives us bad dreams. A figure in the corner, by the window ledge, it stands deathly still, so toward it, I edge. Something catches my eye; a red pool on the floor, the figures feet aren't standing any more. Though fear stopped my senses, except for the sight, I see that i'm now in for a fright. My eyes wander slowly over the shape, a corpse, dangling, limp, it couldn't escape.

Slow breathing.
Down my neck.
Bloodcurdling fear.
Its me who's next.

A quick moment of pain, and then its all over.
A small light fades...
Embers take over...
