What A Heart

What A Heart

A Poem by Himaya Ka
"

Though the road is full of uncertainty, and he suffered seriously, yet he didn’t serve grudgingly.

"

WHAT A HEART

Isn’t it great

You may not feel it

But you know what

Everything is perfect

You may not see it yet

But to tell you it’s the best

Everything falls into its place

Waiting in silence

Working in peace

Not making a race

Without any trace

Only God’s apparent grace

Though carrying the thorn in the flesh

Yet wasn’t hindered to accomplish

Little by little He works to establish

Though it means the apostle has to perish

But it’s the fulfilment of a wish

That all lies shall slowly come to diminish

Didn’t choose his own way

Didn’t complain his rough journey

Though the road is full of uncertainty

And he suffered seriously

Yet he didn’t serve grudgingly

He encouraged them instead to sing and to pray

O, what a heart!

A pure heart is what I want

To be bitter with this and that

It’s foolish to live at

Jesus, please grant

This is the desire of my heart

DAILY IN THE WORD

July 23, 2021

9 And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees' part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God. 0 And when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle. 11 And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.
