A Poem by GingerPocky
"

My mom and her boyfriend

"
Disregard my truths and label them as lies
Just because you don't want to believe it
Every time you scream a little part of me dies
Just because you're supposed to be the one who revives it

Don't preach about what's best for me
When you're the one who's letting him stay
Don't give me another apology
Just tell me when he will go away
But the answer is never
Not until the day he dies
And that seems like forever
Don't let him back in the next time he lies

Please Mommy, he hits me
Kicks me when I'm down on the ground
Please Mommy, he hates me
Says mean things when you're not around
He blames us for everything
What did I ever do?
Please Mommy do something
Inside I'm all black and blue

Mommy I get it now
You love him and you hate me
Mommy I get it now
If you loved me you wouldn't be too blind to see
Mommy I'm broken now
It's okay I've gotten used to the violence
I've learned to block it out
Yet still there's never silence

About
I'm a 17 year old ginger girl who enjoys writing poems and stories. I'm also very lazy about writing and take forever to write something I feel is worth keeping, so I most likely won't be posting new .. more..
