Words

Words

A Poem by Another Mayfly

No beauty can compare to such a form,
No melody can match such a sound,
And yet you sting with such venom
And you leave compassion behind

You abandon words that i long to hear
Yet you fail to comprehend the pain,
That you have caused in silence.
Oh how i long to hear just three
That will exult me so

I do not blame you, for you do not know,
Yet my darling I yearn
For those words that caress.

I will sacrifice all

But I must know.
Do you love me?
Or are they just words that melt in the snow?

Sweet and tender words. I enjoyed them.
"But I must know.
Do you love me?
Or are they just words that melt in the snow?"
I liked the above question. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I did and you are welcome.
I've often thought that it is a shame that if you have to ask for the words they become meaningless as soon as you hear them.
Thanks
