Celestial is just on this planet Earth. If I find her is in the outer realm. I might not live to enjoy her presence. I have been married and now remarried for 2 years. "Luna & the Ra" is about a muse. Look carefully into my writings here and some in "The Onyx - Vena Amoris". The verses are not just to enlighten the mind, but give even more within the verse a cryptic message. The "Muse" is in the verse. I do not use the words "it" / "itself" in any of my writings. Including my novel, makes me challenge my mind and pour out from within. This has developed me to change and form like a phoenix. |

I started your collection of poetry and have enjoyed it, will continue to read over time.
I find it to be very inspirational and thought provoking, will definitely buy your book when it's released.
Your author's note speaks volumes about you as an artist, and I love the reference to the phoenix.

Traci - thanks for your time and review...this is the continuation...after the book: The Onyx - Vena.. read moreTraci - thanks for your time and review...this is the continuation...after the book: The Onyx - Vena Amoris...I wanted to follow the structure of the previous writes...but yet give a different theme with the overall transformation with this series of this collection: Luna & the Ra...I have to edit that excerpt in my Author's note...I wrote that as is...here in a comment...please take your time...I put out 40 verses...and do not want to overwhelm the reader...I just find editing them easier this way...in collective group...they were presented individually back in the day...and I will do so with my new materials...

I will agree with you... inside joke... they would have to read your work to understand... I wrote this on a trip back here to the Philippines... I actually made the verse for my wife... Hazel Ivy... she inspired me... while being on the plane for 26 hours... I wish time travel was feasible... or at least a better way to travel from place to place in shorter amounts of time... One good thing... gives you a lot of time to reflect and write on a 747-400 jumbo plane...

In reading your work of art, I find you searching for love and your existence through a celestial journey... this is intriguing and perpetuates hope in finding your way, at times giving in to fate.

There were alot of spectacular lines that I thought worked nicely. Though I would suggest working on your structure a bit more. It's all the same and becomes repetitive, the tone sometimes varieys but the flow seems to stay the same. You can fix this by experimenting with structuring and line division.Other than that, well done. :D

These are constructed in a format for a manuscript... and that's the reason... I did have them that way... back when I was drafting these ones... but now I just post them in uniform status... I'm not about to get artistic here on WritersCafe with presentation... I'll leave that to the professional making the book... and concentrate on writing the craft... Writers are only 50 percent of the book... the rest is theatrics... as you were saying... Good day!!!

Structure and line division is the most important aspect of any poem. It sets the whole tone of the piece, the flow, atmosphere. The effect your poem has, how each word or line is phrased is what determinds the impact it'll have. It's a very important part of the poem I think you should do, not leave up to someone else since it is your work.

Yes... a writer must take that into consideration... when asked by the publisher... but the intent is in black and white... no matter the structure... the words are there for the reader... aesthetics aside... for the full meaning they are intended...

I was told by the publisher... the photos I submitted are not 300dpi in high resolution... and no comes the part you where looking for in my work... the structure and theme... Plus... I got a new manager to work with... we will get this down... my ship is sailing due course... a few icebergs along the way... the journey is not quite over...

In particular I really love Apparition. It's so spiritual and there is so much faith in it. It was a true comfort to read it.
I believe you.
Write from the heart.
At times, solemn as a silent apparition does.
I’m there lying next to you.
Comfort exhales to surrender.
A shield is impenetrable like immortality.
We live in a transparent world of glass.
I feel like there is a great big web of presence in this poem and a whole lot of trust.

There are umpteen lines and then more, to simply take my breath away....
"death is just a brief corridor to free soul"
&
"How much must a man bleed?
How many births created?
Does this existence carry through the cycle?
In continuing is the everlasting corridor of life
I could go on...but I just want to convey my appreciation of your keen poetic mind and your vast and totally incredible collection of imagery and words. This is a very fabulous collection. My heartiest compliments Glen.

Destination:
"Distance between both of us.
Destination is at eye’s view to emerge."
Distance really creates a problem in a couple. It can make you sick. And the only remedy is to be with the one you love...your destiny.
Nice one.
I just being caught by the heaviness of this page because of many poems compiled. Lol. As a reviewer, I have to search for the poem of my choice. You can already make this a book, wherein every poem is a chapter...so that each poem could be viewed/reviewed specifically... like what we have done in our collections. That's only a suggestion, Glen. The final decision is still yours.

I just put them this way to better edit them with my master document... works for me... Plus, I will be posting only 40 verses of the 125... of this series... I want to create new material and make this project just as long as: The Onyx ~ Vena Amoris: Collection of Verses... which is being made into a book as we speak... follow up with this collection and then the novel: De Novo... I want to give readers an appetizer, a salad and finally the main course... hehehe... Good day...

I was almost discourage to read your poem because i find it too long then i realized that it was a poem compilation. out of these poems, i find the ANOMALY most appealing. The use of the chess pieces is truly brilliant.
P.S. i hope that you could put the poems in separate pages. This is just a suggestion so that reading and commenting will be a lot more easier for readers.

I find posting them individually daunting a task to edit them... This way I have them organized in a collection... Posting 40 of the 125 in the collection so far... Would like to reach 200 verses by the close of the year 2013... I did do that, before here and got too confusing... My first collection, "The Onyx ~ Vena Amoris" will be out in a book soon... Thanks for reading...
