A. k. a. Filipino American Dream

Rage © 2014

Rage is coming down on me.

Set foot on the sands of my enemy.

Do they see fear in their eyes?

Do they know war does not cry?

Both believe in something.

Everything has a cost.

Lost and forgot for the moment.

In the end, we will both end.

Bullets fired hit one and all.

Mortar shells crater distant earth.

Soils of blood and tears affect us all.

There is only a moment to reconcile.

Move forth brother against brother.

All relationship is lost.

There is a time.

All you hear is silence.

Darkness offers a nightmare.

That cannot compare.

Dig deep on the trenches of resilience.

Look at the constellation of peace.

Night is never-ending.

Pending day will come.

Say at what the cost.

Death is all around, so profound.

Rage is coming down on me.

Set foot on the sands of my enemy.

Do they see fear in their eyes?

Do they know war does not cry?

Both believe in something.

Everything has a cost.

Lost and forgot for the moment.

In the end, we will both end.

World spins without a care.

Make for an ill feeling.

Looking eyes stare at the sky.

Deny what is not for the taking.

Last redeemer before light turns dark.

Nature knows not the departed.

Yelling or tears inflicted.

Unite a civilization.

Endure the calamity.

Reality conquers all.

Fall down one by one.

Constant struggle presents disaster.

Over comes the mightiest affliction.

Circle of life has a mysterious revelation.

Retaliation must question at what a cost.

Lost justice must reconcile.

Rage is coming down on me.

Set foot on the sands of my enemy.

Do they see fear in their eyes?

Do they know war does not cry?

Both believe in something.

Everything has a cost.

Lost and forgot for the moment.

In the end, we will both end.

Author's Note

Glen Yumang Manese
A. k. a. F. A. D. Series IV: Atomic Number 82 © 2014 - is the fourth addition in lyrical verse of my Filipino American Dream Series, which has 7 of 7 verses, a theme and goes from one to the other. This Series deals with a theme about war and other matters, which are reflective throughout the scenes. If you follow along from the first to the last and read each one. The story comes together and you get a feel for the entirety. Of course, this is done in lyrical verse to get the aspect of the read not just with the eyes, but also hear the words for what they are worth. Not one dimensional, but the whole aspect of the Series. The only other attributes missing is the vocals and the musical accompaniment, which, of course, cannot be provided, since that is out of my expertise.

I had a image of a ship rocking dangerously through angry waves. Struggling to find a shore. Yet when that shore is found it is in the middle of no where. Lost, lost because rage [waves] brought the mind [ship] to the gates of insanity [shore]~ Just my thoughts on this wonderful piece~ My favorite lines are 'Do they know war does not cry' I love that so much that really made me think. I will re-read this again one of my many favorites of yours.
