Twilight Is Breaking, So Is This Cage

Twilight Is Breaking, So Is This Cage

A Poem by K. Blake

Being caged in my own heart so long,
Forgot how it felt to be free
Never would've thought you'd come along
Darling, you were my key
So now we fly free as you take me by the hand
And swear we'll never look back
You've rescued me from a life so bland
And I am forever taken aback
Now look at what you've gone and done!
(You've made me forever in your debt)
Made me go and fall in love
(We shall be together forever, for we won't settle for less)
It's not as if our hearts have joined
As close as two people could be
But really as if our hearts are one
And you are the other half of me.
