"Bael" (Demon #1)

"Bael" (Demon #1)

A Poem by Ars Goetia Poetry
"

King Bael (Baal). The First demon from the 'Ars Goetia'.

"
                               "Bael" (Demon #1)

I am Bael from the Goetia, the Egyptian God Osris in disguise/
Escaping from Soloman's bindings, no Humanity shows in my eyes
My Sigil the image of a stick figure, extended crosses in both hands/
My humour is formal religion, designed by angels to entrap all man
Successfully drawing thousands, of angelic followers into my lair/
As a silent attack upon the angels, and three heads is how I appear
As I am Bael the king of the east, the ruler to sixty-six legions/
Emerging from an inverted crown, I am the king of all demons
Many subconscious reasons, why many humans feel an impulse/
They worship me as a spirit, I appear reptillian and my voice is coarse
I can make myself invisible, and summon the invisible upon request/
I am a 'Early human father', the fallen angels architect
My dialect is that of hebrew, but yet very Alien when I appear/
I can appear as a man, a cat or a toad, my cunning reflected here
Definately not the one to trust, but neither the one to blame/
As I represent three elements, of what is the evolved human brain.

Your poems raised questions to me an this one takes me to think about Lucifer, the greatest angel, fallen from heavens… so extraordinary, tempting and sly, but I know the cup he offers is just a poison to cheat into owning my soul… not even willing to play with, although tempting to resist or drag into light, rather staying away from a risk, as I am only human

So sorry, but I cannot relate to this poetry, too esoteric for me….I want metaphors, color, images, not what you are writing about, but good luck!

Although this poem is not very much my style, I like this work and I encourage him to continue to write, because we should not let the poetry that runs in our veins die. Keep going.
