Yonder Bliss

Yonder Bliss

A Poem by Webster

Melodies out there, life seems so bleek
The colours they make me, feel so weak
I crouch down low as I realise
Those finish lines are nowhere near prize

The vapours they flow, my lungs fill in
The lights they flash, they flicker on
Stimulate my mind, make the gears wind
May I get up and run, run into the wild

Disappear in the twilight, let the stars shine bright
Maybe one day, I too shall rise with might
But stuck in this chasm, tired and bound
Am I frozen asleep, no sight no sound

The grass is greener, yonder side
Do I get up and rise, do I get up and ride
Lifting this veil that blinds me so
I must get up and move, that I may grow.
