My Mailbox Must Be Broken (Song)

My Mailbox Must Be Broken (Song)

A Poem by Nicholas Duboe
"

Wrote a song. Figured Id post it. Inspired by someone hitting my mailbox.

"

Winter turns my cigarette to menthol

Embers glowing on a cold night

Waiting up for a phone call

Blowing smoke in the moonlight

I've sent a thousand letters too

I sent them over to your place

I picked out special stamps for you

To put a smile on your face

But now it's been awhile

I ask the mailman everyday

He just gives me a smile

and hands me bills I gotta pay

Look I know we havent spoken

But my hearts still in a bind

I think my mailbox must be broken

Or am I out of my mind...

Look I know we havent spoken

But my hearts still in a bind

I think my mailbox must be broken

Or am I out of my mind...

Or am I out of my

Or am I out of my

Or am I out of my

Or am I out of my mind

Winter turns my skin a blue pale

Cellphone glowing on a cold night

I called and left another voicemail

I really hope that its alright

I wrote another letter too

And I sent it to your place

I wrote it perfect just for you

I wish that I could see your face

When you read the things Im feeling

Hope a tear falls from your eye

Cause tonight I plan on bleeding

and Im probably gonna die

and Im probably gonna die

and Im probably gonna die

and Im probably gonna, oh dear god I hope I die

Look I know we havent spoken

But my hearts still in a bind

I think my mailbox must be broken

Or am I out of my mind...

Look I know we havent spoken

But my hearts still in a bind

I think my mailbox must be broken

Ill die somewhere you can find

Ill die somewhere you can

Ill die somewhere you can

Ill die somewhere you can

Ill die somewhere you can find

Natural lyrics. Great imagery in your lines, good rhythm, and I agree I can hear country music. I particularly enjoyed the opening stanza here. Easy one to remember and to sing a long to. Well done.

This one has got to be country.
