I've walked this street
A thousand times.
I've felt the rain
Rehearsed my lines.
Watched the windows
Silent and still
You're not coming
You never will.
A foolish hope
You'll feel my pain
And see me walking
Out in the rain.
A hope that wavers
And flickers still
But you're not coming
You never will.
