I remember a day not that long ago That we spoke of our deaths as a passing Each loved one travelling a different road To meet at the end of life’s journey Her only concern was for those left behind That they would need to be strong to continue alone Still her soul, a beacon, to light their way Watching over them all, her new mission So treasure your memories they stay with you still Her voice now a whisper to guide you each day Her smile each new sunrise to watch as you grow Closer to meeting once more…
