Until He Didn't Anymore

Until He Didn't Anymore

A Poem by Green
"

Until he didn't anymore....

"
13
And it's homecoming
It feels like excitement.
We were decorating our homeroom door
Which I always thought was so
stupid
There was this guy
He was supposed to be a nice guy
He stuck up for bullied kids
and he probably kissed babies
and rescued kittens too
But
He kept messing with my stuff
I'd already asked him to quit
twice
I'd had enough
So I told him off
Well he quit
Next Monday, he was dead...
...suicide
I doubt he ever though about our interaction
But I did
I didn't really mean anything to him
We had never talked
But he sat in front of me
Until
One day
he didn't anymore

This was a very sad and toughing poem, I'm glad you shared. We sometimes forget that anything can happen and people that we get so used to can be gone the next day.

I think you're onto something here and it would be worth developing, perhaps 'deepening'.

You never really know what someone is facing until after they're gone.

If only he knew he is still remembered. Sad write, but good to see you writing again.

Quite the story told...felt real.

I don't know. I would have made it just one paragraph instead of separate lines. Sorrowful story though.Soubds like this was written with personal experience. Life is a journey not all of it is good
