Metal Gates

Metal Gates

A Poem by GreenSkeleton16

There's a castle above me that shines in the night, and is breathtakingly beautiful when seen in the light.

Outside my window this beauty resides,
up past the hills so close to the skies. Longing to capture the reason it's here. Yearning for it to accept me and let me be near.

Yet surrounding this castle are black metal bars, to keep out the feelings I want to be ours. With each day that passes and each step I take, I hope that you permit me to enter your gate.

Grant me this passage that brings me to you, so we can reside there together and enjoy the view.
