A thousand ways to say good-bye

A hundred ways to stay

More than a million tears to cry

Sailing across this blue bay

 

Countless glances back at home

Dozens of wishes to turn

So many reasons not to roam

But only one way to learn

 

So good bye dear family

So long good friends

I’ll see you if I survive

The countless terrors across that sea

Where doubt and insignificance thrive

 

So I brace my shoulders for you, dear ones
