We Love to Hate It

We Love to Hate It

A Poem by Grislobo
"

My very first poem! I'm ready to let the world see my humble beginnings haha.

"
Fallacies envelope me,
Teachings heard by she and he.
Learning from what blind eyes see,
On what the world used to be.

Guns unholstered, bomb and blast,
Reminisce on Great Wars past.
Flags are flying at half-mast,
Just for money and some gas.

Rock and rap preach "hate the man,"
This is not a new drawn plan.
Protest and s**t hits the fan,
Picket sign meets armored van.

Peace and love is all we seek,
To "the man" this task seems meek.
Spend a billion every week,
No worms for our open beaks.

Change comes with the more that vote,
All our paddles steer the boat.
Unison keeps us afloat,
So let's sing our hopeful notes.
