Birdman

Birdman

A Poem by GuardianZack

There once was a man
A lonely old man
Whose dream was only to fly
So he ripped the wings from the back of a bird
That took everything for granted.

So perfect was he
The man with the golden-feathered wings
He soared the skies
And made all those down below him see
"I am the untouchable".

He had his fun
But soon the world grew tired
And as he slept, the angry world
Ripped the wings from the back of a shallow old fool
Who took his life for granted.

There once was a man
A lonely old man
A burdened and heartless
A selfish old man
Whose dream was only to fly.

Now left is an empty shell of a man
Whose dream is only to die.

About
Humanity as a whole seems to be falling apart. We live in a world where people generally just don't care anymore. People always see the need for change, but never do anything about it; Change has to b.. more..
