Battle Under the Stars

Battle Under the Stars

A Chapter by Guavaguy

Above my head the stars are shining,
But they are unimportant,
Only Dagoth is important.
Any swordplay lasts a mere second,
For I disarm Dagoth quickly,
But through magic he turns my sword to dust.
Dagoth runs at me,
I run for his sword.
Inches,
Mere inches.
He grabs me by the collar and begins to choke me.
I am running short on breath,
Pinned down.
I reach for the sword,
Barely do my fingers touch the blade,
And in a burst of energy,
I grab the sword and stab it through the beast's chest.
He loosens his grip on me,
And I swiftly cut off his head.
Victorious,
I inspect my beloved.
She is bruised, battered, and broken,
But she can be helped,
I just know it,
She has to be salvageable,
She just has to.
But I don't get very far,
When suddenly I hear the slimy tongue of Dagoth.
