The Poet Of Loneliness

The Poet Of Loneliness

A Poem by Giulia King

She was an old soul,
desperately trying to find the meaning of her life.
She couldn’t decide which world she liked better.
The one her body was in,
or the one her mind liked to escape to once in a while.
Like a broken flower, she hides her thorns from the cold world.
Hoping immensely that there is an end to everything that is draining her spiritually.
She had a wandering pen and an endless imagination.
Writing gave her a sense of freedom and happiness.
She was the poet of loneliness.

I feel this way sometimes; just thinking what is to come and what is the purpose. Thank you for sharing!

'The Poet Of Loneliness'
Hiullia King,
I understand the reference to, "She was an old soul." I think that people just get tired. Our lives require so much of us after all. It feels like a game sometimes...seeking clues, or answers for how to fix problems and help ourselves and others at times.
Blessings,
Kathy

I could see myself in this poem. Especially in these lines "She couldn’t decide which world she liked better.
The one her body was in,
or the one her mind liked to escape to once in a while."

Thank you so much :)
Such a great portrayal the dilema's a creative person can face. I feel a sense of not fitting in with world due to all the wicked and evilness, with the imaginative escape bringing limited, but highly reinforced comfort. This will speak loudly to so many!

Thank you for your lovely words here, Owen! :)
Couldn't decide which world she liked better? I love that concept.

I would invite you not to talk your writing down to us in your notes.
