My World

My World

A Poem by Giulia King

"Stop thinking about it" He said.
"It's not the end of the world."

"I know" she answered with trembling lips.
"But it's the end of my world."

Oh boy this was a great write! It was as if you've torn a page from a romance novel to express a message. The picture, itself, is worth a thousand words while your poem screamed dozens. Sometimes, there are things unseen or circumstances unknown that we go through that may not seem detrimental to most, though its ground shaking for us. The most we can be is sympathetic since empathy is something unreachable. However, when someone's world is coming undone then its best to listen. Wholeheartedly. I enjoyed interpreting this. Great read.

Your eloquent and profound poem, and spectacular picture, speak truth, Giulia. So hard when the meeting of the minds gets canceled due to lack of empathy. There should be a Google woman-to--man translation option!:))

Some words you don't want to hear in any circumstances. " It's not the end of the world."
It never is the end, but it sure feels like it.

Wow, weirdly this reminds me a lot of he types of things that I write. Very encompassing in a very short space here with a point as fine as it can be sharpened to. Great writing!!!

Wow, you used 27 words to make a point and it worked! This was beautiful, you didn't need to write 5 stanzas to make a point but you needed 27 words. “The most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do.”
- Thomas Jefferson

Bravo!! I love this and I can't wait to read more!

Thank you for reading.
Guilla,
Much said in a short verse. No matter the relationship, the feelings don't always sing together.
Well done.

Thank you, Richie! :)
Who we are is not always understood. People play games, enhance or detract. Your words could be exchanged, man to woman, woman to man. They say the bad character not the sweet heart. How cynically profound a meaning.
