My World

My World

A Poem by Giulia King

"Stop thinking about it" He said.
"It's not the end of the world."

"I know" she answered with trembling lips.
"But it's the end of my world."

Succinctly expresses the point of view of male and female very well. The somewhat callous boy and the sensitive girl play off each other and tell a complex story in a few well-written words. There is a great deal more to this interaction than is realized at first reading. If this is 'Sunday scribble' I'll take more.

Good write, Gullia.

Be kind? ;0

Hmm.....

It's somewhat sad and sweet. Seems to me the female has lost her purpose or the will to go on, whether metaphorically or literally.

Pretty good, Kingy!

Thank you so much :)
The duality of perception - neatly and poetically explored in a few words - excellent!

Thank you for your kind words :)
I've always been one who feels everything so deeply, and everything goes directly to my heart. That's the message this gives me, Gullia.

Your image is off the wall - incredible! Great thought process to compliment it!

You are welcome dear Gullia.
I think to relate to this is to know this feeling and to know this feeling is very sad indeed.
Nicely conveyed Gullia.
