Once Again

I am sitting here waiting once again

for you to come through the door

You said tonight would be different

I latched on and hoped it was true

 

But once again there is nothing new

Wait I see a glimmer of light shine in

I knew you would not let me down

I go to the window just as the car drives by

 

Once again you told me another lie

As I cut the lights off, tears begin

My heart starts to ache with pain

Its starts to get hard to breath

 

My body begins to crumble to the floor

Love is not suppost to make you feel this way

I'm so weak I crawl to my bedroom

I climb into the bed alone, once again

mmm...i could feel your pain in this one. that feeling of waiting anxiously for that burst of joy ...to see the one you have hung your hope upon, only to be treated as so much compost. wonderful poem!
