Beautiful Pain

Beautiful Pain

A Poem by Gurglesnarch van Caasi

The screaming and wailing

The mother gives birth

The anguish erases

Memories of mirth

The baby is born

The mother is fain

To treasure this moment

This beautiful pain

The whine of the motor

The needle digs deep

The stinging and stabbing

Cause weak ones to weep

The art is completed

The burning will wane

The tattoo is finished "

The beautiful pain

The lightning blinds

And it razes hell

The mightiest trees

And men are felled

The jagged bolts

Light up the rain

This terrible beauty!

This beautiful pain!

The new wife weeps

She’ll miss her mate

Parting so soon

Was evil of Fate

The soldier salutes her

As he boards the train

Their hearts are throbbing

With beautiful pain

Tears upon tears

Oceans are filled

Depressed and alone

Our emotions feel killed

Love from a stranger

Seems alien " insane

But their random compassion

Is beautiful pain

The pain is surreal

The man is destroyed

His flesh is the sacrifice

And sin now is void

The innocent Lamb

Washes our stains

The name of Love

Is Beautiful Pain.
