Too Big Too Late

Thy Hand

     had caused

tremendous wrack

for self-restraint

     you lack.

How much

     you water trees

or try to plant 

     

     the flowers back

     will never change

this world

     that you have painted

ever black.

yes, the little green belts around cities will be a far cry from what is required when the the Earth reaps what we have sewn...or, the damage caused by mistreatment in a relationship can often blacken our world beyond repair... a great write, love the colour shift for emphasis and the image... well-done!

Intense dark imaginary of a world? It seems like you have inspiration from someone's work, if it is mine I am flattered. Because I wrote a poem called "Dark World," in fact I have a lot of poems. I hope you enjoy your moments and peace. It seems like you have good imagery to picture the world looking like that in the future if people don't stop throwing litter on the ground and poisoning the ego system we have in the environment. It's okay for some to have a "black world". If you want a bright one, it's up to you to do what you can to make it that way. Do the things that make you happy, joyful and proud. Be adventurous, bold and daring. Don't live life the way others may want you to. Be the person YOU want to be and your world will turn out just how you want.

I'm going to have to slightly disagree with you on your last statement. If a person is whoever he wants to be, his world wont necessarily be as he wishes it to be. I do believe though that you CAN definitely be whoever you choose to be, yet that is not a gaurantee that the world you wish will be your own.
Certainly a person should do whatever makes him happy and proud- I am right there with you on that one :)
