Until Then . . .

Until Then . . .

A Poem by guy drori

You cannot ask of me
to care
like you cannot ask the dead
to speak
or snakes to fly
across the sky.

When Jesus
will speak with you
perhaps,
or when on clouds
a snake you'll see
high above a Willow tree
though such a sight is more than rare--
that will be the day
perhaps
about you I will care.

Until then . . .

There is no doubt that in some relationships, one or the other person is pushed to a point they no longer care. You can only bleed so much. I liked the analogies...good flow. Enjoyed this poem.

Thank you for the comment. Yes, I agree that sometimes people are pushed to a point where they no lo.. read more
Makes me wonder what the other has done for the 'I' to feel so much hatred. But you express the emotion well with the analogies.

Good piece.

Thanks for the comment Philip... and yes I agree - a thing I wondered about too when I wrote this.
Well, I usually like poetry, to read, ponder on and write.
But your piece left me with an uneasiness.
Sometimes we tend to dislike people in our lives.. And it's alright, we are only humans.
One great man once said that, keeping grudge or hatred for someone in ones heart would only destroy oneself.

An emotive piece, nonetheless.

Jyoti

PS: This is my personal opinion, I don't expect it to be taken offensively.
