Crossroads

Crossroads

A Poem by Ray

I vowed to forever,
Step forward on this straight and narrow path.
And today,
You ask me to turn away

In the dim light of the evening,
I can see your eyes pleading me.
Can you understand
That this road is where ever I must stand ?

Why should I give in,
To my fears of having to see leave me and go ?
Why should I be terrified of my future ?
If you loved me, you wouldn't make life this harder.

Why should I listen to you,
My love, my heart,
You who has never listened to me
And has tried to change who I be

Very great work. I like the idea of the questioning!
