Being

Being

A Poem by Ray
"

A poem to inaugurate my return to writerscafe!

"
Weary.
Before the day has begun.

Indifferent.
Before the day has ended.

Angry.
For there is no honor or glory.
And though there is no rationale,
Though there is logic for tomorrow,

Hopeful.
Where there is no hope.
Trusting.
Where there is no trust.
Believing.
Where there is no belief.
Loving.
Where there is no love.

What a world to live in, an unhappy world,
Where the fight makes the heart weary before the dawn,
Where indifference is the credo of daily moments,
Where anger is the driving force.

What a desolate place, what a pitiful society.
And,
Yet.
Hearts still dare to live,
Still dare to hope.

Humans are such peculiar creatures.
