Um... Love is for the brave?

Just came to me in gym class when I was...erm...looking at this girl I like. More of a song then poem, but you get the idea.

Love is for the brave,
who love to play with fire.
though most end up in flames
very few slip under the wire.

Love is for the silver- screen
because all that you need,
Is a beautiful girl and a beautiful guy
and the sun setting in the sky.

Well, in the stories of life and love
the two didn't seem so different
and the passion that fuels it
couldn't be worth the time I spent
stitching up my broken heart
when you never glanced my way.
I'm a coward
and love is for the brave.

I like this part the best :

That line concluded the poem perfectly.

I usually don't read love poems, but I decided to make this an exception to that rule. I'm glad I did. It was a good poem with a nice pace.

Songs and poems are very similar. Some songs rhyme, some songs don't. Some poems rhyme, some don't. A well paced poem is just like a song with a good beat. The only difference is the absence of music.
