Dialogue In Glass

Dialogue In Glass

A Poem by Travis Gibson (poetic heroics)
"

Collaboration with Cassie

"
Examine me seductively
With your eyes
As you pour into me,
Your fortified drink

Caress my delicate frame
Gently but lovingly,
Careful not to clatter me

Brace your lips for mine,
And let your tongue
Dance on my lips

your steady hands
swirl burgundy‘d reflections
pursed lips expect more

we dance beautifully
to mute tones of inebriation
you lead, i follow; when we switch
neither of us notice

we have become one
a grey spirit‘d union, lost
between a floor and empty bottles

Thank you... it was a pleasure working with her, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
The character in the poem could be describing how a billion castaway spirits in a bottle that are looking for a temporary home in somebody else's body could open her door.

The message could be what words to use when mixed with spirits and that a person's spirit could be controlled with words, I like it.

Do you know more spells that work.

Beautiful and a little wry. Yes … booze has a way of making things seem a little more, sometimes good and sometimes not so much. Great write. you two.
