Clearance Isle

Clearance Isle

A Poem by Holly Mason

cheap is what we reap
do not want to get to deep
if we only have a dime we leap
into the depths we seep

down we go till the bottom is hit
going down a one way pit
take a breath a moment to sit
now go back clearance isle fit

only at the mall we say
will destiny come out to play
our last dollar for today
we will borrow if we may

opening what we have bought
we really wished we would of thought
these things were not even sought
hunter to prey we have been taught
