A Poem by Holly Mason

Death came early for her.
A life taken left no words.
How will the little ones survive,
knowing their parent should still be alive?
Will they look around when life gets hard,
thinking this is it, I will play my own card?
How much the pain must break their hearts.
So many tears, yearning for a new start.
Little ones, she loved you ,she did.
Hollywood is a bad habit for kids.
Hopefully there are words for you,
to help you when older, to get you through.
You are amazing, haven't met you but I know.
Nothing could be sadder, then a little one's sorrow.
If ever a friend you need, there are many who care.
I am so sorry little ones, sometimes a mommy's life is not fair.
Past the glitz and  Rodeo drive,
let the little voices of Hollywood come alive.

Mindy McCready and so many others, I was not her fan, was not a country music lover...I love little one's the one's that seem to suffer

i can really relate to this. my mother died when i was a kid. it broke my heart. fifty years later and i still think of her every day. you have taken on a difficult subject here, holly. and you have told the truth -- the pain -- as it is. an extraordinary poem. -- david

I am sorry for your loss...truly
thank you for reading much my friend
"hollywood is a bad habit for kids"

that is such a profound line...

careful in two spots here..."a little one's sorrow"
and next line "there are many who care"

but a really sad write...i was thinking of the country singer who just committed suicide..

i always feel for those who think there is no better solution or way out...but i have been there a few times myself...so i know it gets like that.

the ones who suffer the most are those left behind.
