A wave for Tate

A wave for Tate

A Poem by Holly Mason

the waves crash as the sun begins to rise
seering intense into Tate Morgans eyes
toes in the sand, children running about
picture it Tate, no more will you pout
clouds whimsically sailing by
hot sand on your back ,as you lay and sigh
grab your board a Bill Hamilton special
it may not be Wednesday but a wave will catch you
stroke the arms out into the water
leaving thoughts only you will ponder
sand , waves , sun just so right
a big curl brings you home sweetly tonight
hateful transgressions left on the shore
only a salt taste, today's forevermore
so here it is in only black and white
cannot bring to you of which I write
but you can close your eyes and have it all
a blessing of creation Tate's Wave crashing ball
so on the sands that rest in your mind
is the peace you need that you can find
