superstitious

A Poem by Holly Mason

superstitiously superstitious
superstitions superstitiously
       superstitious

now that is a tongue twister
with a word smile
rehash the past-
walk under a ladder
black cat crosses path
mirror breaks
tea spilled
so many superstitions
so little time to fear...life
even when I broke the mirror in my car, when a black cat ran into the road and I swerved to miss, taking me into a house and right under a ladder...with tea all over my lap...
Knock on wood..it will all get better

Ha-ha, the song 'Superstitious' came to mind, LOL!

I cannot for the life of me do that darn tongue twister! >.<

I love the humor in this write, Holly. There is so many superstitions but alot of people don't believe them. There are some weird ones as well.

Awesome blossom.

exactly
thank you fine rock and roll sir*)
Love this! First, I tried that tongue twister - ouch! The lines kind of leading to that longer line, frantic to get all the "magic words" in, before easing into a cool "knock on wood." We make up s many ways to keep us "safe" - knowing full well there are no guarantees...
