Ravens Clouds

Ravens Clouds

A Poem by Holly Mason

above the earth in ravens clouds
flying high, zipping wings proud
surrender thoughts, let feeling go
staring down at the world below
touch the tassels flowing in breeze
cresting dawn with colors that please
light as a feather, no baring weight
flying high, souls only escalate
a pattern of patience sewn in cloud
rising, soaring, the heartbeat loud
a little lower ,the forest in sight
grasping wings with pleasing delight
waterways guide, for this soul needs
a long cresting ride, casting of seeds
flying high, zipping wings flutter
letting go of unneeded clutter
ravens clouds fly high like an eagle
commoner blood but still not regal

thank you much ....fly high like a raven *)
As Sharon said, the imagery is what grabbed me. Nice poem, Holly.

I hate the rating thing, lol. :)

freedom flyers*)
lovely words...thank you
I love the spirit of the raven, it seems it has no cares, your poem shows that they are so happy as they fly higher and higher.

higher and higher little lady
thank you truly
Such vivid imagery in this one. I could feel the breeze beneath my proverbial wings as I read this one; the idea of soaring and seeing the world below in such stark detail was brilliant. The last lines, though, they really spoke to me. The metaphorical significance of the last two lines are...thought provoking. Well done, completely enjoyed this one.

Thank you much Miss Friday and hey it is Friday*)
I always love the way how you start and end your pieces... it has a good poetic rhythm in it... I love to read your writings out loud too. :) they always sound so well. And then the Raven is a magical bird.. most of the intelligent ones too, for it works together with wolves, and knows how to fly proper. Also the title makes me think for it's a double meaning. Very nice sweet Holly!

a magical bird...like that*)
thank you beauty writer
it would be wonderful to be able to soar upwards and view the world as a Raven, the imagery is beautiful Holly, the Eagle may well be more regal but sees no more than the Raven..
