So close, but out of reach

So close, but out of reach

A Poem by H.W. Grace

Charming thy way into my heart with thy
Laugh as sweet as honey, trading my
Appetite with bliss, each time I meet
You.
Dearie eyes that make me weak,
Immobilizing me as you speak,
Ambiguous you.

Lovely use of enjambment (which is a term I learned through you) in the first half, but overall I have never seen such a short poem seem so long, and I mean that in a good way. The two lines that rhyme are my favorite part and do a lot to help finish the piece... I like it.
