The Eternals

The Eternals

A Poem by Henrique Kasai

Life and death talked over trivialities
Sipping coffee, eating cookies
The table was the universe, black holes,
Mere coffee beans and with those
Milky way to soften the bittersweet nothingness

Life, always so majestic, had great happiness
She danced and singed and bragged about the earth
Death and his sober posture followed lady life.
As she paved the path with life as she likes
Mr. Death and his sure pace turned it all back to black

One of these days, playful life turned over to death
"Why shall thee erase my path of light?"
Death with a smug on his face looked around
"Always so focused on dancing has thou seen what pit surrounds you?"
Life stared at the void and answered to death:
"Don't worry mr. Death, I won't leave you alone in the dark".

Everything is devoured, from dusk to dawn I aimlessly write stuff, not a better word can replace stuff in such context. Because stuff will be devoured, eventually I as well, the point is, will I devou.. more..
