Expectations on Men

Expectations on Men

A Poem by Hairythoughts
"

I've never been a masculine man. Sometimes people discriminate against me because I don't fit their picture of a heterosexual man. Whatever that picture may be. What genre should this be?

"

Don't tilt your head,

Don't cry alone in bed,

Always be late,

And don't care a thing,

About other people's feelings.

Flowers and romance are not for you,

Succeed where others don't,

Interrupt and dominate conversations,

Demonstrate your masculinity whenever you can,

Just be a man.
