Blakeened heart

My heart has been darkened, tainted, nearly frozen by my past and me caring more than I should;
Making my trust hard to come by and my love colder than ice.
My heart is forged with darkness black as night yet still possesses great light;
I can feel the power my love wields, completely unmatched by any force on earth or beyond.
However ,I find the darkness amusing and beautifully familiar, almost like it's where I belong sometimes;
Which is why I merely smile at the darkness that surrounds me ,not run and hide from it.
I can't help being different but I love myself for who I have become, which has set me free;
Allowing me to stop caring about others opinions of me.
I don't care if someone walks out of my life or tries to backstab me;
Letting go of people doesn't phase me anymore, its so easy and painless, I simply don't care.
My true friends and family I would fight and die for, nothing would stand in my way to protect them;
I make sure the ones That matter most to me know it because they make me see the true power I wield .
I have a blackened heart perfectly darkened for whatever life throws at me;
It can be cold as ice or show the most fiery passionate love ever witnessed anywhere, even in heaven or hell.
