I will not say goodbye
To the person who set my soul ablaze
With power and love
With strength and passion

To the person who helped me grow
To the person who gives me strength
When I am weak
The person who loves me always

I will not say goodbye
To the person who I love most
To the person who may be gone from my sight
But is never gone from my heart

I will not say goodbye
To the man whose soul intertwined with mine
To the man who always made me happy when he was around
To the one who was my true soul companion

I will not say goodbye
To the person who protects me
To the person who helps me heal
To the person who is always there in my darkest times
To the person who has helped me grow
Even though you are gone
I will never forget you
I will never say goodbye
For you are my grandfather
My guardian angel
