Empty Shells

Empty Shells

A Poem by HaleythePoet
"

This poem/song is just something I threw together quickly. Write drunk, edit sober.

"
They say when two soul mates meet,
It will feel it was meant to be.
Fat can bring people together
To fight side by side forever.

Two empty shells have bled together
Fighting side by side with each other
Seeking ways to run from the past
How much longer will this pain last?

He gets away from the maiden molly
Retreating into the darkest corner of his mind
The sweet substance calming the voices
Screaming from deep within

Two empty shells have come together
Placing their wary trust in each other
Seeking ways to run from the past
Time will tell, will the love last?

She throws away the rusting razors
Retreating into the darkest corner of her mind
The sweet endorphins calming the voices
Screaming "Kill me....Kill me!"

The two empty shells have survived together
Rejoicing side by side with each other
Seeking ways to forget the past
Time will tell, will the love last?
