No Escape

No Escape

A Poem by Half Dream

Everything is heavy on my chest
I feign absence to escape from my bad scattered past.
But I find that my past continue to follow me wherever I go.
Those ugly memories continue to appear in front of me
I try so hard to convince myself
they all have passed.
I thought that I cut all the ways of my past
to prevent them to contact me
And hunt me everyday.
I even thought that I could forget
And move on.
I was wrong,
I do not forget,
I have more powerful memory now,
I remember the simplest details of the worst things,
The yelling,
The humiliation.
I even remember the sound of the car horns at that time!
While he was chasing my brother on the streets.
I even remember the tone of his voice
How to escape from my memory?
How to escape from myself?
How to escape from the world?
How to Navigate another world
I'm not in it?
Just tell me how dad?

Sis, I do love you have your pen, where you can be totally free, from all what does hurt so much from within. It's brave to speak your heart out as beautifully painful you can, but I like it this way. Raw, and honest, you know that... There is much from your past you can't forget, yet, you're strong, as you survive, by it, and I know you are. You're a beautiful soul, and my number 1. Never escape from me, please... for you're important, needed, and loved.

you are the most welcome =D ;)
Very gloomy and sad poem! The picture added to the bleakness rightfully. Nice job with the theme's execution and the form as well
