Mr Chen (I am the Aeronaut)

A poem inspired by the titles and works of Port Blue, Adam Young's side project. Enjoy!

Mr Chen, will you build me a Sunset cruiser?

For once she is here, I will not lose her.

Mr Chen, when I arrive at Insect Airport,

I will prove I am ready, for I have my pass port.

Mr Chen, I wish to see the Silver Blueberry,

Hover these beautiful waters in your magnificent ferry.

Mr Chen, please show me the Lonely Promenade,

Reveal to me your solace from these hollow concrete glades.

Mr Chen, I know you are up above At Anchor,

To show the world of your opus, your atmospheric tanker.

Mr Chen, the creator of The Grand Staircase,

Which lets you see the globe in all its grace,

Mr Chen, as you float above in The great Skybridge,

Can you see me alone, surveying on this ridge?

Mr Chen, are you Under the Glass Observation Dome?

Have you sailed so far up that you finally found home?

Mr Chen, will you take me to Port Blue?

For it is my wish to finally join you.

Mr Chen, I will remember all that you have taught,

For now, I Am The Aeronaut.
